RULE 704 - CONTINUING PROGRAM OF VOLUNTARY COOPERATION

Upon the adoption of this regulation the Air Pollution Control Officer shall inform the public of ways in which
air pollution can be reduced and shall request voluntary cooperation from all persons in all activities which contribute
to air pollution. Civic groups shall be encouraged to undertake campaigns of education and voluntary air pollution
reduction in their respective communities. Public officials shall be urged to take promptly such steps as may be
helpful to reduce air contamination to a minimum within the areas of their authority. Employers shall be requested
to establish car pools. Users of automotive vehicles shall be urged to keep motors in good condition and plan routes
and schedules which will contribute minimum contamination of critical areas of pollution. All industrial, commercial,
and business establishments which emit hydrocarbons or the air contaminants' names in Rule 708 should critically
study their operations from the standpoint of air contamination and should take appropriate action voluntarily
to reduce air pollution.
