RULE 469 - SULFURIC ACID UNITS

(a) A person shall not discharge into the atmosphere from any sulfuric acid unit, effluent process gas containing more than:

(b) An owner or operator of a sulfuric acid production unit shall not discharge into the atmosphere any gases which contain sulfuric acid mist in excess of 0.150 kilogram per metric ton (0.3 lb. per ton) of acid produced (the production of such acid expressed as 100 percent H2SO4).
