RULE 4801 - SULFUR COMPOUNDS
(Adopted May 21, 1992, Amended December 17, 1992)
The purpose of this rule is to limit the emissions of sulfur compounds. A maximum concentration and test method are specified.
The provisions of this rule shall apply to any discharge to the atmosphere of sulfur compounds, which would exist as a liquid or a gas at standard conditions.
3.1 A person shall not discharge into the atmosphere sulfur compounds, which would exist as a liquid or gas at standard conditions, exceeding in concentration at the point of discharge: two-tenths (0.2) percent by volume calculated as sulfur dioxide (SO2), on a dry basis averaged over 15 consecutive minutes.
3.2 EPA Method 8 and ARB Method 1-100 (Continuous Emission Stack Sampling) shall be used to determine such emissions.
