In-Use Mobile Agricultural Equipment Regulation Survey

This page last reviewed December 24, 2013

The California State University Fresno Foundation conducted a voluntary survey funded by the State of California. The purpose of this survey was to collect data on the population, characteristics, and activity of self-propelled off-road mobile agricultural equipment in the state. The survey was developed with the assistance of a variety of commodity group representatives and tested by agricultural producers for clarity.

The survey included questions about the types and amount of commodities produced. This information was needed to ensure that a statistically significant sample was collected and to estimate a statewide population based on known agricultural production statistics.

All survey outreach was conducted through the California State University Fresno Foundation and various agricultural associations. Data collected from the survey has been summarized and aggregated in a way that protects the confidentiality of individual respondents before it is provided to the State of California.
