Site Description

The site is located approximately 50 meters west of Highway 1 at the entrance to the Marine Research Station near Bodega Bay.  The  site is approximately ½ -1 mile east of the Pacific Ocean.  The site is secure and readily accessible.  It appears that there has been power previously dropped to the barn from the pole line on Highway 1.  The site has an unobstructed exposure in all directions and has uprights on the barn used to drop power, if required, and to mount the sampling equipment.  The measurements should not be impacted by the vehicular traffic on highway and due to its distance away from the ocean, it may not be impacted by the ocean spray.
