Site Description

The site is located approximately 1 mile west of Pleasanton as Highway 580 enters the foothills heading west to Oakland.  The site is approximately 150-200 feet above the highway and is situated on the southern slope of the canyon.  The site is secure and readily accessible.  It also appears to have power, shelter, and telephone.  The location appears to have ample space to accommodate a small monitoring trailer.  The site appears to be used by five different affiliations, including PG&E.  The site would have an unobstructed exposure in all directions and has uprights within the enclosure to drop power, if required, and to mount the sampling equipment.
