Site Description
The former IMS 95 site is located 150 meters east of the Alview Elementary School, in what now appears to be an abandoned baseball field. The site is easily accessible, secure, and has power and telephone readily available. Depending on where the samplers are mounted, the site should have 360° unobstructed air flow. An employee of the school district, the bus driver, occupies a residence approximately 60-80 meters to the south of the proposed sampling location. The utilities are located on a power pole adjacent to the bus barn. Local emission sources would be bus and vehicle exhaust.
The site would require a mounting bracket and possibly a fenced enclosure. If the telephone pole were considered too close the emissions from the bus barn, a portable-mounting tower would also be required.
