Annual Monitoring Network Report
This page last reviewed on July 31, 2012
ARB staff completed the Annual Air Quality
Monitoring Network Report for Small Districts in California (PDF). Federal
regulations require that the air quality monitoring network be reviewed
annually to identify any need for additions, relocations, or
terminations of monitoring sites or instrumentation. Federal
regulations require the report be submitted to the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA).
Twelve
local air agencies in California that operate monitoring sites are
reporting separately on the ambient monitoring within their
jurisdictions. This report consists of 28 counties or portions of
counties with ambient monitoring sites for which the local air agencies
are not drafting a separate report.
If you have any questions please contact:
Mr. Pheng Lee, Air Pollution Specialist, Air Quality Analysis Section at (916) 445-6059 or
Ms. Gayle Sweigert, Manager, Air Quality Analysis Section at (916) 322-6923.
A separate report is available which includes somewhat different information on the types and time periods of air quality data available from the statewide air monitoring network. This report is called the State and Local Air Monitoring Network Plan, and was last updated in June 2009. The ARB has been compiling and distributing this report for more than two decades.
