Speaking Notes Slide 19
Our society has benefited from technology: the introduction of the automobile, the computer, and others, but there have been consequences. California is well place to meet our future air quality goals. But, as in the past, we have seen that a growing economy and our personal choices (electric transit to gasoline powered automobile, and others) affect our ability to achieve healthy air, especially if we look at how our personal decisions affect the air. Who knows -- if enough of us made clean air choices -- we might even reduce the need for future regulations and regulators! I hope that this talk has provided you with some food for thought. Thank you.
