Dorene D'Adamo

Dorene
D'Adamo was appointed as the Law Member to the California Air Resources
Board by Governor Gray Davis in 1999 and reappointed by
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2004. She has served as Chair of the ARB's Task Force on the San Joaquin Valley's ozone plan and as Chair of ARB's Agriculture Air Quality Advisory
Committee.
Ms. D'Adamo is a graduate of the University of California, Davis (B.A. 1982) and of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (J.D. 1986). She currently serves as Senior Policy Advisor to Congressman Dennis Cardoza (California's 18th Congressional District), a position she has held since 2003. In this capacity, Ms. D'Adamo has developed an expertise in environmental, water and agriculture issues. She has served on the Governor's "Red Team" for the establishment of Universtiy of California, Merced and currently serves on the Valley Coalition for UC Merced's Medical School. She was also appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to serve as a board member on the Governor's Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley.
As a visiting lecturer for the California State University, Stanislaus from 1992-1998, Ms. D'Adamo has taught courses for the Department of
Politics, ranging from U.S. and California government, environmental policy and land use policy.
Following law school, Ms. D'Adamo joined a Modesto, California, law firm as an
associate, where she practiced juvenile delinquency and dependency law
and criminal law. Ms. D'Adamo has served in a variety of roles
within California's criminal justice system. She was appointed by
Governor Deukmejian as an Assistant Director to the California
Department of the Youth Authority (1988-90), served as Legal Counsel to
the California State Assembly Committee on Public Safety (1986-88), and
served as Consultant to the State Legislative Joint Committee on Prison
Construction and Operations (1986).
