97-1-1 Public Meeting to Consider the Approval of the South Coast Air Quality Management District's 1997 Air Quality Management Plan

This item is to consider approval of the South Coast Air Quality Management District's 1997 Air Quality Management Plan. If approved, the Board will direct staff to forward the appropriate portions of the plan to U.S. EPA.

97-1-2 Public Meeting to Consider the Economic Assessment Program

The staff will do a presentation on the economics program that assesses the impact of regulatory actions on California business enterprises and individuals. The presentation will outline legislative mandates and Cal/EPA policies to apply economic analyses to determine regulatory alternatives to achieve ambient air quality standards.

Open Session to Provide an Opportunity for Members of the Public to Address the Board on Subject Matters Within the Jurisdiction of the Board

Although no formal Board action may be taken, the Board is allowing an opportunity to interested members of the public to address the Board on items of interest that are within the Board’s jurisdiction, but that do not specifically appear on the agenda. Each person will be allowed a maximum of five minutes to ensure that everyone has a chance to speak.

THE AGENDA ITEMS LISTED ABOVE MAY BE CONSIDERED IN A DIFFERENT ORDER AT THE BOARD MEETING.

*Off-street parking is available in the parking lot to the west and adjacent to 2020 L Street. Enter this lot from L Street or 20th Street. Overflow parking is available in the parking lot on 20th Street in Lot G, between L Street and K Street, behind the Lambda Community Center. The cost for all day parking in these lots is $2.00.
