You may download any handbook or pamphlet highlighted above, or order hardcopies of many handbooks and pamphlets by contacting Sally Su at (916) 327-7211. You may also download a publication order form (16 KB).
Pamphlets are free. There is no charge for handbooks sent to California businesses and environmental government agencies. There is a $2.50 fee for each handbook sent to a business outside California.
All of our publications are copyright protected; however, as long as you do not charge a fee, you may print and / or distribute downloaded copies. In California, where over 90 percent of all manufacturing businesses have fewer than 100 employees, complying with air pollution regulations can strain a small business's staff and resources. The Air Resources Board's Compliance Assistance Program (CAP) helps businesses by producing and distributing self-help literature that explains air pollution rules in everyday terms.
A variety of publications are available through CAP. Also available are CAP Technical Manuals which are more comprehensive reference documents written for the environmental engineer and local district air pollution inspector.
