Refrigerant Management Program
Businesses in South Coast Air Quality Management District
On December 3, 2010, South
Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) amended Rule 1415
and adopted Rule
1415.1 to be equivalent to the Air Resources Board's
Refrigerant Management Program. Businesses operating within the South Coast Air
Quality Management District must register with SCAQMD
until registration and reporting is required for the Air Resources
Board beginning in 2012 for Large facilities, 2014 for Medium facilities
and 2016 for Small facilities. Below is a chart which provides the schedule
for transition from SCAQMD to ARB reporting and registration to assist businesses
