California's
Oil and Gas/Refining sector contributes to statewide greenhouse gas
emissions and has the potential to play an
important role in helping California reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
ARB staff is convening an Oil and Gas/Refining Stakeholder Working Group to provide input on potential greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategies for the Oil and Gas/Refining sector.

The Oil
and Gas/Refining Sector Stakeholder Working Group
will meet in the first half of 2008 to discuss the elements of the Scoping Plan that pertain to oil
and gas/refining. In addition to the general stakeholder meetings, we anticipate that there will also be separate meetings to discuss individual
strategies in more detail.
