1.1 I don't sell architectural coatings in California. Can I submit the "Reasons For Not Completing the Survey Form" via e-mail?

Yes. After filling out the form, including signature, you can scan the signed form and send us the PDF file via e-mail. Otherwise, you can FAX the signed form to 916-324-8026 or send a signed hard copy via regular mail.

1.2 Our company's products do not contain VOC. Do we still need to complete the survey?

Yes, if you sold architectural coatings in California in 2004, you are required to complete the survey. Reporting zero VOC products helps us assess current technology, track usage of coatings in the state, and evaluate the impact of past regulatory efforts.

2.1 What does "include secondary products related to coating sales" mean in the instructions for the "Gross Annual Receipts" box?

Secondary products related to coating sales include products such as cleaners, solvents, and brushes.

3.1 Does the Air Resources Board have a "VOC Calculator" to calculate VOC Actual and VOC Regulatory on Form 2?

Yes. A VOC Calculatory was created in Microsoft Excel. You can use this spreadsheet to assist you in completing Form 2.
