2001 Consumer & Commercial Products Survey Preliminary Data Summary Tables

The following tables provide the results of the 2001 Consumer & Commercial Products Survey (survey). The tables have been formatted to protect individual company's confidentiality, yet they are detailed enough to provide sufficient information necessary to review the overall results of the survey.

Generalized Summary Tables

(These tables summarize information for the overall survey results.)

Table A - List of Responding Companies

This table shows all responding companies and their parent companies as reported.

Table B - Category Tables, All Products

This table lists the total tons of VOC per day (VOC includes fragrance) reported by survey category. In the cases where there are 3 or fewer companies or products reported in a category, data was withheld to protect the confidentiality of those responding companies.

Table C - Category Totals, Pet Care Only

This table lists the total tons of VOC per day (VOC includes fragrance) reported by survey category for those categories where pet care products were reported. In the cases where there are 3 or fewer companies or products reported in a category, data was withheld to protect the confidentiality of those responding companies.

Table D - Categories Ranked by Mass Emissions

This table lists by category, the specific compounds that were reported on the survey. For each category, the table indicates if a specific compound was reported in that category (indicated by the letter "R"), but does not list the quantity of that compound. Additionally, the total pounds per day and tons per day of VOCs, total pounds per day of LVP-VOC solvents, fragrance, inorganics, and exempts and non-solvent LVP-VOCs are summed by category. In many cases, data was withheld to protect the confidentiality of responding companies.

Category Data

These tables, which are repeated for each survey category, include information about the reported products/product groups within the categories.

Table 1 - Reported Products. Although there are item numbers on this table, they do not correspond between Tables 1 and 2. For example, item #4 on Table 1 is not the same product as item #4 on Table 2. This is to ensure confidentiality of these products.

Table 2 - Product Forms. Although there are item numbers on this table, they do not correspond between Tables 1 and 2. For example, item #4 on Table 1 is not the same product as item #4 on Table 2. Additionally, Table 2 does not list the VOC content where 3 or fewer of a specific product form were reported, nor where a minimal number of companies reported a specific product form. This is to ensure confidentiality of these products.

Table 3 - VOC Ingredients by Category. VOCs listed in these tables comprise only the top 95% of the total VOCs by weight for this category. There may be additional VOC ingredients in a category that are not listed in these tables in order to protect the confidentiality of companies using those VOCs.
