PLEASE NOTE: Verifications are issued chronologically.  The most recently issued Executive Order or individual attachment is the one which is currently in effect and is listed below each manufacturer’s verification.  The most recent Executive Order supersedes any previous Executive Orders for the same product.   Should you wish to view any previous Executive Orders or attachments for reference purposes related to a manufacturer’s verification, please click on the associated link below each description.

Carrier Transicold’s Engine Emissions System (EES) has been conditionally verified as a Level 3 Plus diesel emission control strategy that reduces particulate matter (PM) emissions by 85 percent or more without increasing NO2 emissions more than 20 percent of NOx.  A conditional verification is equivalent to verification for the purposes of satisfying the requirements of in-use emission control regulations.  The Carrier EES is conditionally verified for use on Carrier X4-7300 and 7500 TRUs, Vector 8500 and 8600MT TRUs, and Carrier UG and RG TRU generator sets equipped with model year 2012, 2013, and 2014 Kubota model V2203L-DI-EF01e engines rated at less than 25 horsepower.  In-use engines must have less than 3,000 hours of operation at time of installation.  New TRUs may be retrofit with the Carrier EES concurrent with sale or lease.  The Carrier EES uses an automatic filter regeneration system to oxidize the collected diesel soot and control engine backpressure to within the engine manufacture’s specifications.  The regeneration system uses an engine intake air control valve, a diesel fuel doser, an oxidation catalyst, and a catalyzed silicon carbide wall-flow filter with an electronic control unit to achieve backpressure control.  Specific conditions for which the Carrier EES has been conditionally approved may be found in the Verification Letter below.  See Carrier Transicold’s True Power of Blue webpage for more information.
