The Air Resources Board has verified the SK Energy Econix DPF-A diesel retrofit system for certain 1994 through 2006 model year heavy-duty diesel engines used in on-road vehicles. The Econix DPF-A system reduces emissions of diesel particulate matter by at least 85 percent and is designated as a Level 3 plus system. The primary components of the actively regenerated Econix DPF-A system include a metal mesh wall-flow filter, a diesel-fueled burner assembly, and a system controller. Specific conditions for which the Econix DPF-A system has been approved may be found in the Executive Order below.
