Donaldson Company, Inc.
The Executive Officer of the Air Resources Board (ARB) has revoked the verification of the Donaldson DFM Diesel Multi-Stage Filter (DFM DMF) system. As of May 17, 2010, the DFM DMF system may not be sold, installed, or offered for sale as a verified system.
Donaldson Company, Inc. DFM diesel multi-stage filter (DMF) system with / without the Donaldson Spiracle closed crankcase filtration system for 1991 through 2002 diesel engines used in on-road applications operating on ultra low sulfur diesel fuel. The DFM DMF system with / without the Donaldson Spiracle closed crankcase filtration system uses a multi-stage flow through filter with an optional closed crankcase filtration system to achieve a 50 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions qualifying it for a Level 2 verification. Specific engine families and conditions for which the DFM DMF system with / without the Donaldson Spiracle closed crankcase filtration system has been approved may be found in the Executive Order and attachment below.

The following systems do not comply with the new 2009 NO2 emissions limit, and are no longer verified.
The ARB has verified the Environmental Solutions Worldwide (ESW) Particulate Reactor ™ system for specific 1991 through 1997 model year diesel engines used in on-road applications operating on standard CARB diesel fuel. The Particulate Reactor ™ system employs a catalyzed wire mesh substrate to achieve at least a 50 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions, qualifying it for a Level 2 verification. Specific engine families and conditions for which the Particulate Reactor ™ has been approved may be found in the Executive Order and attachment below.

The following systems do not comply with the new 2007 NO2 emissions limit, and are no longer verified.
The ARB has verified the Johnson Matthey PCRT™ Particulate Filter systemfor 1988 to 1993 model year diesel engines used in on-road applications operating on diesel fuel with a sulfur content of no more than 15 parts per million by weight. The PCRT™ Particulate Filter system achieves a 50 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions qualifying it for a Level 2 verification. Specific engine families and conditions for which the PCRT™ Particulate Filter system has been approved may be found in the Executive Order and Attachment below.

Thermo King
The ARB has verified the Thermo King, Inc. PDPFTM as a Level 2 Plus (greater than or equal to 50 percent reductions) diesel emission control strategy for use with select 1985 through 2002 diesel transport refrigeration unit engines. The Thermo King PDPFTM consists of a catalyzed knitted wire mesh flow-through filter with backpressure control system, an exhaust system insulation package, and a backpressure warning indicator. Specific conditions for which the PDPF has been approved may be found in the Executive Order below. Specific engine models and families that apply are listed in the attachment below.
