CALAVERAS COUNTY AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DISTRICT
RULE 407 - POLLUTANT MODELING
The Air Pollution Control Officer, in consultation with other Air Pollution Control Districts in the Mountain Counties
Air Basin, shall designate air quality simulation models for use in determining air quality impacts of emissions
from new and existing facilities and modifications. Each model shall utilize information relating to emission quantities
and meteorological conditions for areas within and adjacent to the District. Each model designated shall be consistent
with the requirements provided in the "Guidelines on Air Quality Models, OAQPS 1.2-080", unless the Air
Pollution Control Officer finds that such model is inappropriate for use in the District. After making such finding,
the Air Pollution Control Officer may designate an alternate model only after allowing for public comment and only
after consultation with other Air Pollution Control Districts in the Mountain Counties Air Basin, the Air Resources
Board and the Environmental Protection Agency.
