It is the policy of the Air Resources Board (ARB) to provide all applicants, employees, and service recipients with a uniform method for expressing complaints of discrimination. The complaints will receive prompt and impartial consideration to bring about a satisfactory resolution for everyone. It is also the policy that every effort will be made to resolve discrimination complaints at the lowest level possible. Any act of reprisal/retaliation against someone for filing a discrimination complaint is prohibited and could result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
Discrimination complaints must be on the basis of race, color, pregnancy, religion, sex, veterans status, age, disability, national origin, ancestry, genetic characteristics, sexual orientation, political affiliation, gender identity, marital status, engaging in a protected activity.
