Employee Assistance Program

As a State of California employee, you and your eligible dependents have access to a statewide Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The program provides services to help you address problems such as family and marital difficulties, problems with alchohol or drugs, or feelings of depression. You can also receive counseling and referrals for help with financial concerns, child and elder care, and legal matters. Whatever your needs are, the EAP exists to help you.

*These services are provided via a contract with Managed Health Network (MHN).

The role of the EEO Office is to promote the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by providing information about counseling, assessment, and work and life services to eligible employees and dependants. The EEO Office assists supervisors and managers when utilizing the EAP Management Consultants for employee performance concerns when making formal supervisor referrals. The EEO Office also coordinates critical incident stress debriefings to provide counseling for suicide/death in the workplace, workplace violence, and other workplace trauma.
