Interactive
Data Access: Main Page
This
page provides access to the interactive option, which allows you to
search/filter on a variety of data fields. This page allows
interactive access to most of the same data that are posted on the DOWNLOAD OPTION
page. As with the download page, you can use
these interactive mode tables to download data. For the
interactive tables, however, you can choose to download (export as
Excel or CSV (text)) the entire file, or just a portion of the file
(even a single record), you can also choose to print the data.
These are VIEW-ONLY tables, and you will not be able to edit these
tables on-line.
Be sure
to read and understand the information, presented below, on this page,
before accessing the interactive tables.
- SELECTION
BARS: The selection bars at the top of this page will be
present on all the pages of this interactive site:
- Inventory
selection bar: The top selection bar allows you to
select the inventory year to which the speciation profiles will
be applied. This is important, since, for some emission
source categories, the speciation profiles applied to that
category may change between inventory years.
- File
selection bar: The second selection bar from the top
allows you to select the file(s) from which you wish to access
data. There are two rows within this selection bar.
The top row files are colored red, and are MASTER
files. The second row files in the file selection bar are
colored green, and are the DETAIL
files. There are red linking lines running from the MASTER files to the DETAIL
files that apply to them. You will notice that there are
repeat references for some files in the DETAIL row of the file selection
bar. This indicates that these files are DETAIL files for more than one MASTER file. If you click on a MASTER file, that will allow you to
access that entire MASTER file, as
well as then select subsets of the linked DETAIL
file. The subset files will consist of all records in the DETAIL file that match the currently
selected record in the MASTER file.
- Information
selection bar: The third selection bar from the
top, below the yellow text bar, provides access to file-specific
information. This includes information on the fields and
field content of the files, as well as the selected file
relates, and links to other files. This includes
additional explanations of the MASTER-DETAIL
relationships.
- SEARCH
FILTERS: Search filters, and/or the MASTER-DETAIL
table selection method, of the interactive mode tables allow you
to select records based on pollutants, source type codes (SCC or
EIC code), source type descriptions, speciation profile codes, or
speciation profile descriptions. Using the advanced
search-filter method, you can even select based on several of
these fields. The search-filter feature allows searching
using exact matches, or partial field data matches.
- MASTER-DETAIL
SELECTION METHOD: Linked tables are a powerful data
selection method. If
you click on a MASTER file, that will
allow you to access that entire MASTER
file, as well as subsequently select subsets of the linked DETAIL file. The subset files will
consist of all records in the DETAIL
file that match the currently selected record in the MASTER file. You
can also combine this approach with the SEARCH FILTER approach,
described above, for even more powerful data selection. Once
you have selected the MASTER page, you
will find the links to the two DETAIL files in
columns near the left of the page. They will be highlighted
links with the name of the DETAIL file in
each row of the file. Clicking on that link will open the
subset DETAIL page.
the single selected record from the MASTER file will be shown at
the top of the subset DETAIL page.
To return to the MASTER page, click
on the link below the selection bars, and near the top of the page
that says "RETURN TO MASTER TABLE."
