101 Trucking LLC. Case Settles for $2,925

101 Trucking, LLC. agreed to pay $2,925.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations ; $2,194.00 will go to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $731.00 to the Peralta Community College District for distribution to participating California Council on Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) colleges . This settlement was reached in February 2014.
An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that 101 Trucking, LLC., failed to test and maintain records of smoke emissions from its fleet of heavy-duty diesel vehicles for years 2011 and 2012 in violation of the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and failed to provide evidence to have ECL attached to the engine of heavy-duty diesel vehicles in its fleet. To settle the case, 101 Trucking, LLC. has agreed to the $2,925.00 penalty.
