ACE HARDWARE CASE SETTLES FOR $4,000

During inspections in August 2005, Ace Hardware stores were found selling non-complying five-gallon, Briggs & Stratton metal jerry cans in one of their stores in Marysville. Based upon their sales records, these containers had been illegally supplied by the Ace Hardware distribution centers and sold in Ace Hardware stores in California. Ace Hardware paid $4,000 and settled the case on May 11, 2006.
