Herm. Dauelsberg GmbH & Co has paid $3,750.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on July 21, 2011. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Herm. Dauelsberg GmbH & Co vessel, MSC Octavia, failed to properly complete switchover for its engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel before entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, Herm. Dauelsberg GmbH & Co agreed to the $3,750.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
