IMPERIAL VALLEY TRANSIT CASE SETTLES FOR $6,000

Imperial Valley Transit will pay $6,000 in penalties for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the ARB showed that Imperial Valley Transit failed to comply with the Fleet Rule for Transit Agencies - Urban Bus Requirements by failing to submit, or by submitting late, the annual reports and by exceeding the fleet NOx average and the Particulate Matter (PM) emission total. To settle the case, Imperial Valley Transit agreed to the $6,000 penalty and to comply with the Fleet Rule for Transit Agencies - Urban Bus Requirements. This case was closed in November 2006.
