Lotta Luv LLC Case Settles for $7,200

On May 31, 2012, a case was settled with Lotta Luv LLC for Hannah Montana Hair Gel with Glitter products subject to the VOC limit for “Hair Styling Product – all other forms” product category, title17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509 (a). The hair styling products contained concentrations of VOCs exceeding the 2 percent by weight VOC limit. The product was sold between 2008 and 2010 and resulted in 0.23 tons of excess VOC emissions attributable to the violation. In addition, the Company failed to file an explanation of the product dating codes with ARB’s Executive Office prior to selling the products per section 94512 (c). The company paid $7,200 to settle the case.
