MOL Ship Management Co., Ltd. Case Settles for $3,750

MOL Ship Management Co., Ltd. has paid $3,750.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on March 12, 2012. An investigation by the ARB showed that the MOL Ship Management Co., Ltd. vessel Euro Spirit, failed to properly complete switchover upon entry into Regulated California Waters for its Main, Auxiliary, and Boiler Engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel. To settle the case, MOL Ship Management Co., Ltd. agreed to the $3,750.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
