SENTINEL OXYGENATE CASE SETTLES FOR $5,000 |
| On March 24, 2004, a Sentinel driver loading premium gasoline at the Kinder Morgan terminal in Orange made a mistake in the loading process, resulting in a greatly over-oxygenated product. The error was discovered before the truck left the terminal and it was held. However, the carrier sent the over-oxygenated product in the first truck, along with a second truck containing sufficient unoxygenated CARBOB to correct the first load, to the service station that had ordered the premium gasoline. This procedure violated the CARBOB regulations. The case was settled for $5,000. |
