SEVENTH GENERATION CASE SETTLED FOR $4,400
On June 17, 2004, Enforcement Division staff conducted a telephone office conference
with Seventh Generation, to discuss a volatile organic compound (VOC) violation. Seventh Generation manufactures
many different types of household consumer products including glass cleaners and bathroom cleaners. The Monitoring
and Laboratory Division analyzed samples of Seventh Generation Glass and Surface Cleaner and found it to exceed
the 6 percent VOC limit for non-aerosol glass cleaner. The case was settled for $4,400 on July 14, 2004.
