WARE DISPOSAL, INC. CASE SETTLEMENT FOR $7,000.00 |
| On August 20, 2007, Ware Disposal, Inc. paid $7,000 in penalties
to the California Air Pollution Control Fund for violating air quality regulations. An investigation by the ARB
showed that Ware Disposal, Inc. failed to properly self-inspect a portion of their diesel truck fleet that falls under the Periodic Smoke Inspection Program (PSIP) and did not retrofit adequate numbers of diesel vehicles under the Solid Waste Collection Vehicle Program. To settle the case, Ware Disposal, Inc. agreed to the $7,000 penalty and to comply with all applicable ARB regulations. |
