Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. Case Settles for $21,375

Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. has paid $21,375.00 in penalties to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, for violating air quality regulations. This settlement was reached on December 9, 2011. An investigation by the ARB showed that the Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. vessel YM Pine, failed to properly complete switchover for its engines from Heavy Fuel Oil over to Low-Sulfur Distillate Fuel before entry into Regulated California Waters. To settle the case, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. agreed to the $21,375.00 penalty and to comply with ARB regulations.
