Hearing Board Workshops
This page last reviewed May 24, 2011
The Air Resources Board (ARB) conducts workshops on the process of petitioning a hearing board for a variance. There are two types of Hearing Board Workshops: the Introductory Course and the Advanced Course. ARB can also tailor a workshop for an air pollution control district or company.
Introductory Course
The Introductory Course is a one-day, 8-hour
course in which a mock
hearing is held. This course is primarily designed for new hearing
board members, district staff, board clerks,
and petitioners. Included in the course materials is a
comprehensive reference
binder. This course is taught by ARB
Enforcement staff and Legal
staff.
Course # 321 - Introductory Hearing Board Workshop
Advanced Course
The Advanced Course is a two day, 16-hour
course which focuses on
the more technical issues, ARB legal and enforcement insight, and
particularly difficult scenarios. This course
is designed for experienced hearing board members and is taught by ARB
Enforcement staff, attorneys, and veteran
hearing board members.
