SCOS97 Gridded 3-D Commercial Jet Emissions

One of the inventory improvement efforts for SCOS97, was focussed on the development of gridded three-dimensional commercial jet emissions. A description of the methodology used to develop the inventories, and summaries of the resulting emissions, are available below.

Commercial Jet Emission Files

Gridded, hourly, commercial jet emission files are available in MEDS-3 formats for the SCOS domain:
    Origin: 150.000 km E-W, 3580 km N-S
    UTM Zone: 11
    110 grid cells E-W & 74 grid cells N-S @ 5 km by 5 km
The emissions are resolved into a 17 layer vertical structure above the ground surface. The 'elevation' field on each record has the cell center elevation in meters above surface (except layer 1 which has a 0.0 in the elevation field). The vertical structure is:
