We have scheduled a meeting of the workgroup for October 22, 1998. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the final draft of our analysis of the test data from the ethanol/MTBE test program. We are preparing a final draft report on our analysis which will be mailed to you shortly under separate cover. 

        As you know, we received comments on our analysis from the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) and the Western States Petroleum Association. As part of RFA's comments, they submitted an alternate analysis prepared by Dr. Gary Whitten of Systems Applications International (SAI). We plan to discuss our evaluation of the SAI analysis and any other appropriate items at the meeting.
