LCFS Proposed 2011 Regulatory Amendments
Background
The Board approved the Low Carbon Fuel Standard regulation on April 23, 2009, and it became law on January 12, 2010. Based upon feedback from stakeholders, we are proposing changes to the regulation to address multiple topics. This page contains informal rulemaking information, documents, and other materials under development for the proposed regulatory amendments scheduled for the Board's consideration at its December 2011 hearing. The formal rulemaking phase has begun. The start of the 45-day comment period began on October 31, 2011 and will continue through December 14, 2011, at which time all comments need to be submitted by noon or at the board hearing. A separate formal rulemaking website has been established and is currently accessible.
