LCFS Electricity WorkgroupThe Electricity Workgroup was created to address issues related to regulated parties of electricity as a transportation fuel. The Board directed staff at the April 2009 hearing to form the workgroup with stakeholders and continue to work to review applicable provisions.

Meetings, Activities, and Workshops
April 12, 2013 The California Electric Transportation Coalition (CalETC) proposed a method to estimate electricity used for electric vehicle residential charging in 2012 in cases where meters were not in use.  ARB approved the method as explained in this letter to CalETC dated April 5, 2012 (PDF).    
February 15, 2013 Electricity Workgroup Meeting to continue discussion on the concept to include electricity from fixed guideway transportation in the LCFS program, and to present a concept to include electric forklifts in the LCFS program.
