Dear Chair Nichols and Air Resource Board Members,

I would like to thank you for all of your hard work in the
implementation of SB 375. I believe that through the appropriate
enforcement of this law, we will see a reduction in greenhouse
gas(GHG) emission and more sustainable communities and
transportation choices.
As an individual who values walkable and bikeable communities,
accessible alternative transportation, and clean air, especially
now, after my recent episode of heart failure (at age 64),I urge
you to adopt only GHG emission reduction tatgets that are ambitious
and acheivable. Since I will not be allowed to drive for six
months, I will be spending much less time on the freeways, saving
money on gas, and have more time with my grandchildren. It would be
a joy for me to be able to walk and ride my bike in clean air.
These things can easily be acheived for others through compact
community planning and affordable husing close to work, school, and
community centers.
In yuor upcoming meeting, please vote for abbitious GHG emission
reduction targets, and acheivable sustainable community plans.
Thank You for all your hard work and for the opportunity to submit
my comments.
Sincerely, James D. (Jim) Frazier, R.N.
