Dear Chair Nichols and Air Resource Board Members,

Thank you for all your hard work in the implementation of SB 375. 

As a person who values walkable and bikeable communities,
accessible alternative transportation, and clean air, I cannot
believe that my home County of Santa Barbara is proposing to
INCREASE GHG emissions while our neighboring counties and all other
counties are admirably proposing to decrease GHG emissions.  I
understand that SBCAG staff made this recommendation but I am
surprised that ARB staff did not correct the basis of their
calculations.  Climate change, as we all know, is a critical global
challenge and as a 34-year resident of Santa Barbara I am certain
we are NOT doing ALL we can do reduce GHG emissions.

In your upcoming meeting, please rectify this situation and vote
for ambitious GHG emission reduction targets, and achievable
sustainable community plans for ALL California counties. Thank you
for all your hard work and for the opportunity to submit my
comments.
