| Subject | Kern County - Isabella Reservoir commuter bike lane |
| Comment | We have a wonderful community in the Kern River Valley with one huge flaw. This is the most unbikable community I have ever lived. Many people would commute from community to community if there were a bike lane away from cars that went around the reservoir and bike lanes within the communities. Hikers could use the bike trail and a horse trail adjacent to the bike lane would also be a huge improvement. This would not only be a boon to the environment but tourists upon which the Lake Isabella area relies would be drawn to this area by the mere fact of a bike path around Isabella Reservoir. Please consider helping improve access to alternative transportation in our community. The land is already federally owned so rights of way should not be an issue. Thank you. |
