| Subject | SB 375 and draft targets for SCAG |
| Comment | As someone who lives and works in Los Angeles, I urge the Air Resources Board to adopt the staff-recommended draft targets for SCAG and the other large regions. Many people have worked very hard to develop these targets and we commend the ARB and SCAG for their diligence and leadership on this issue. I know cities need more resources to help them implement SB 375 and maximize the promised benefits: more sustainable economic development, cleaner air and improved public health, and more walkable neighborhoods with more housing and transportation choices for all. Local governments are key partners in SB 375 implementation and all face unprecedented financial challenges in the current economic climate. We hope, in addition to adopting the staff-recommended targets, ARB will work with cities and SCAG to secure these resources. Thank you for your efforts. Jane Paul |
