| Comment | I urge the Air Resources Board to adopt the staff-recommended draft targets for MTC, SCAG and the other large MPOs. Everyone has worked very hard to develop these targets and we commend the ARB and the MPOs for their diligence and leadership. But cities need more resources to help them implement SB 375 and maximize the promised benefits: more sustainable economic development, cleaner air and improved public health, and more walkable neighborhoods with more housing and transportation choices for all. Local governments are key partners in SB 375 implementation and all face unprecedented financial challenges in the current economic climate. The ARB should work with cities and the MPOs to secure these resources. Thank you for your efforts. |
