As someone who lives and works in Orange County, I urge the Air
Resources to adopt the staff-recommended draft targets for SCAG and
the other large regions.  Many people have worked very hard to
develop these targets and we commend the ARB and SCAG for their
diligence and leadership on this issue.  

I know cities need more resources to help them implement SB 375 and
maximize the promised benefits: more sustainable economic
development, cleaner air and improved public health, and more
walkable neighborhoods with more housing and transportation choices
accessible and affordable to all.  Local governments are key
partners in SB 375 implemntation and all face unprecedented
financial challenges in the current economic climate.  We hope, in
addition to adopting staff-recommended targets, ARB will work with
cites and SCAG to secoure these resources.  Thank you for your
efforts.
