Subject | Re: SB375 |
Comment | Dear Chair Nichols and Air Resources Board Members, Thank you for all your hard work in the implementation of SB375. I believe that by the appropriate enforcement of this law, we will see a reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and more sustainable communities and transportation choices. As a person who values walkable and bikeable communities (I bike to work 8 miles one way, twice a week), accessible alternative transportation, and clean air, I urge you to adopt only GHG emission reduction targets that are ambitious and achievable. It would be a joy for me if I can spend less time on the freeways, save money on gas, and have more time with my friends, family and pets. These tings can easily be achieved through compact community planning and affordable housing close to work, school and community centers. In your upcoming meeting please vote for ambitious GHG emission reduction targets (California needs to lead the way), and achievable sustainable community plans. Thank you for all your hard work and for the opportunity to submit my comments. Sincerely... Marsha Lowry |
