Thank you for taking time to recognize what an incredibly important
issue global warming is to global health. I admire the advances
your bill is making in such areas as setting a minimum price for
carbon pollution. However, it would benefit everyone for polluters
to have to purchase their credits -- rather than having them be
paid for by the taxpayer. Neither the environment nor California's
economy should have to take the brunt of their pollutions. That
money would be much better spent on developing systems such as
alternative transportation or wind and solar energy, which not only
benefit Californians by their presence and their beneficial effects
to the environment, but also by providing much needed jobs.
