Thank you for work on improving the air quality in CA.   Cleaner
air standards will benefit us all, and the majority of my fellow
Californians appear to agree.   I am remembering the words of Chief
Seattle "This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man
belongs to the earth.  All things are connected like the blood that
unites us all.  Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a
strand in it.  Whatever he does to the web he does to himself."   I
encourage the Board to consider charging fees for permits, rather
than giving them away for free.  When large corporations have to be
accountable to our state's air quality standards, it will reinforce
State revenues.  Air may be 'free,' but dirty air is costly to all
of us who need to breathe it.
