I am writing to express my support for California Air Resources
Board's proposed  diesel regulations intended to reduce toxic
emissions. These rules will save lives since diesel trucks and
buses are the single-largest source of toxic diesel pollution in
the state. These engines are responsible for thousands of premature
deaths, hospitalizations and asthma attacks each year.

People needlessly die every year from air pollution related
illnesses in California, and diesel trucks are a major source of
this pollution. The public health cost of delaying these measures
is too much to bear. These illnesses impact hospitals and emergency
rooms throughout the state that are already overburdened. 

California can't wait any longer. Please move forward in
implementing this vitally needed regulation that will save lives
and improve the health of all California residents.
