It is time that we as Californians take our place with the rest of
the responsible and intelligent beings regarding our enviroment as
well as showing the integrity to lead, as we have always done in
the past. Prior to becoming weak kneed and gutless commencing in
80's. Its time for real patriotism and stop the dinosaour
mentality. VOTE TO STRENGTHEN OUR AIR STANDARDS THIS MONTH, and
create some landmarks in this all important issue, for the rest of
the nation
-- Prevent 4,000 premature deaths;

-- Result in health benefits and reduced health care and hospital
visits of $18 to $26 billion;

-- Help bring the most polluted areas of the state, the Los
Angeles/Long Beach air basin and the San Joaquin Valley, into
attainment with federal air quality standards; and

-- By 2020, prevent 48 tons per day of NOx and 5 tons per day of
particulate air pollution from entering our air.
