Comment | As an asthmatic I have a strong feeling about cleaner air. I understand that construction vehicles are putting excessive particulates into the air that are putting not only my health at jeopardy but many children who need to grow into health individuals. Asthma is on the increase in California and the area from Sacramento to Bakersfield is one of the most hazzardous. I realize that putting more restrictions on money making corporations is a hard decision, however, thinking that it might save one life, much less the estimated 4000 premature deaths, eliminate the $18 million PLUS in doctor/hospital costs to families and by 2020 prevent 48 tons per day of NOx and 5 tons per day of particulate air pollution from entering our air, I think the decision should get easier. Please consider that the health, safety and welfare of California citizens should be everyone's priority. Thank you for consideration in reading this, Sara E. Parrish |
